Of course what that means is that they are often ineffective in actually supporting your health and boosting your nutrient levels as they are simply not sold in high enough strength or with the right mix of ingredients to be effective.
Practitioner only supplements are in the same realm as your GP prescribing a course of antibiotics instead of a home remedy. The prescription is stronger, can have side effects if not taken properly, and needs to be issued with care taking into account the patient's health history.
