How much is too much sugar?
THE MYTH: “I don't eat much sugar"
Maybe... except it’s in your yoghurt, your ‘healthy’ snack/protein bar, your salad dressing, and low-fat foods. The food industry has a PhD in disguise and they’ve renamed sugar so many times it could enter witness protection. Sugar hides as dextrose, maltose, syrup, honey, or artificial sweeteners. If an ingredient name ends in "ose" it is sugar!
THE REALITY: It's not just about your weight.
Hidden sugars don't just mess with your waistline. They highjack your hormones, your mood and your energy and derail your natural hunger signals.
You're not weak for craving sweets, your brain has been chemically groomed to want them.
THE ACTION STEP: Go Rogue
When you start to add up the amount of sugar in everything you eat in a day, you soon realise that "I don't eat much sugar" isn't actually true for most people, it's just that they are not knowingly eating the sugar, as it's in disguise.
Go rogue in the supermarket on your next visit. Read through the labels, call out a hidden sugar and feel smug as hell about being empowered to make a different choice. Awareness is your new body armour!
CHRISTINE'S GO TO...
When you need to add sugar to coffee, recipes, etc there is a far better alternative for the body. Pure Monk Fruit with nothing else added, far surpasses sugar in every way and you only need a tiny amount to achieve the same level of sweetness and your body will thank you.
Be aware: there are many products being offered that say they are pure monkfruit when they are not. Read the labels - we cannot stress this enough!
You can order it online through our supplier here or find it in your local chemist or health food store.
