Senior clinical oversight for complex patient cases

The Body Guard Co-Treatment Program

A program designed for practitioners that have a complex case patient that needs advanced clinical care. Co-treatment means you never have to carry a difficult case alone.

Book your 20-minute case discovery appointment. Where a clinical suitability is assessed, both ways. Free, no obligation.

Complex case patients need expert-level care.

The Body Guard Co-Treatment Program is a structured 12-month clinical arrangement designed for practitioners managing patients whose case complexity or severity, sits beyond their current scope of practice.

Under this program, Christine Barnes serves as the clinical lead, providing direct patient consultations and monitoring treatment progress across the full 12 months. You as the treating practitioner continue to deliver care between Christine's consultations, informed by Christine's clinical direction and supported through the existing mentoring relationship.

The Co-Treatment Program keeps both your patient and you, supported:

  • Your patient receives care led by an experienced senior clinician, while keeping the continuity of seeing you as their existing practitioner
  • You develop your skills in complex cases, through real, supported clinical experience rather than being side-lined
  • Christine has full visibility of the case and can respond quickly if anything changes
  • Roles, records, and responsibilities are clearly defined for everyone involved.

 This is not a referral.

It is a genuine co-treatment arrangement where both practitioners are active participants in the patient's care.

who this program is for?

The Treating Practitioner

This program is for practitioners who:

  • Are currently enrolled in Christine's Body Guard mentoring program, or
  • Are managing a patient whose case complexity or severity exceeds their current scope of practice, and
  • Have the clinical self-awareness to recognise when senior oversight is in their patient's best interest.

The Patient

The program is suitable for patients with complex, multi-layered, or high-severity presentations who would benefit from senior clinical oversight while continuing care with their existing practitioner.

There is no restriction on condition type, it is the severity and complexity of the presentation that determines suitability, not the diagnosis.

How the program works

Christine's Role

Christine functions as the clinical lead throughout the program. Every six weeks, Christine conducts a one-hour telehealth consultation with you as the treating practitioner and your patient.

In these sessions Christine:

  • Directly assesses the patient and reviews their progress
  • Establishes and refines the overall treatment direction
  • Maintains detailed records of her clinical involvement, reasoning, and decision-making.
Your Role

Between Christine's six-weekly sessions, you continue to see and treat your patient as you normally would.

Your role includes:

  • Delivering treatment informed by the clinical direction established with Christine
  • Providing regular treatment updates to Christine via email or within scheduled mentoring sessions
  • Maintaining your own intake and progress notes as the treating practitioner
  • Applying learnings from Christine's consultations to the patient's ongoing care.
Monitoring & Communication

Christine monitors patient progress across the full 12 months through a combination of:

  • Direct patient assessment in each six-weekly telehealth consultation
  • Treatment updates from you via email or during mentoring sessions
  • Ongoing clinical dialogue within the existing mentoring relationship

In the event of a significant change in the patient's condition between Christine's scheduled consultations, you are required to contact Christine immediately.

This ensures timely clinical oversight and appropriate action regardless of where the patient is in the six-weekly cycle.
